Dr. Hayes will be familiar to many in the Tennessee Valley. From 1988 through 2008, he practiced in a variety of settings in Decatur, Hartselle, and Huntsville (including the Hearth Psychology.)
Dr Hayes is an honors graduate of the medical school at the University of South Alabama and completed a residency in Psychiatry at UNC in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology since 1988.
A perpetual student, in recent years his investigations have turned toward root cause resolution, as he brings a functional medicine orientation to his psychiatric practice. Dr. Hayes has been a sought-after presenter and teacher and is grateful to have been honored with the Exemplary Psychiatrist award of the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Now practicing virtually, he is eager to once again provide psychiatric services to the people of the Tennessee Valley and beyond via telepsychiatry.
